About Me
Introducing my journey and purpose
Hi, I’m Aaryan. I’m driven by curiosity, discipline, and optimism, drawn to challenges that push growth—whether puzzling through code without an obvious path, training on the track, or leading my percussion section to sound as one. I’ve learned that real progress comes slowly: from consistency, humility, asking for help, and steady improvement even on frustrating days. AI excites me because the models we build can expand access to better healthcare, education, and opportunity—but I also recognize how easily they can deepen inequality if we’re not careful. I see AI not as a trend, but as a responsibility. I’ve felt this in my own projects: small choices in data or design can shift outcomes unexpectedly, like in my work on graph neural networks for multimodal classification and ultrasound image analysis for diagnostics. That’s driven me to approach everything with real care—contributing to research, and organizing workshops through AI Ethos and NextGenAI so other students can explore building thoughtful, equitable AI too. It’s never straightforward: late nights debugging, feedback forcing rewrites, ideas that fall short. But every challenge has deepened my commitment to technology that lifts people up instead of leaving some behind.
Track has taught me patience during incremental gains; music has shown me the power of listening and adapting together; mentoring younger teammates has reminded me that sharing knowledge often matters more than any solo win. I still have so much to learn—the field moves fast and can feel overwhelming—but I keep moving forward with quiet determination because I believe AI can be a powerful force for good when guided by humility, empathy, and persistence. I’m excited to join communities at Stanford, MIT, or Berkeley, where hard problems are tackled collaboratively and people think deeply about technology’s impact on everyone. I’d love to contribute what I can while continuing to grow.
